Finely bound in full dark green crushed niger, stamped in gilt; all edges gilt; by The Chelsea Bindery; original pictorial endpapers; final line and signature of inscription somewhat faded ("White" almost completely so, but still legible), very faint circular ink stamp below inscription.

A rare presentation copy of E.B. White's classic first children's book. Signed or inscribed examples of this title are very uncommon and rarely come to market.
